Holy fucking fuck I'm THIS CLOSE to a full-blown breakdown which would then involve the throwing of my laptop, breaking of my tablet and eventually falling to the floor, sobbing in my own spit and tears.

FYI: rant ahead.

I'm so extremely tired of really not knowing shit of most drawing programs. I wanted to create a smooth and clean full black drawing. At first, I just simply started out in photoshop, even though I know well enough that if I just draw in that program, lines will never be very smooth and clean (for the record: I'm looking for a vector-y like drawing, here. But I don't know jack shit about working with vectors), but I did it anyway. As expected, the lines came out too squiggly and 'soft lined' for my tastes, so then I thought "eyy, folks draw in Flash all the time righ, that shit looks spank, let's try that. Again." (Yes, I've tried that before and it resulted in roughly the same breakdown). So I tried that. It didn't work. Mostly because I have the feeling my knowledge of that program is about a limited as my knowledge about.. fashion. Even with google by my side. My biggest problem there was not knowing how to simply change the opacity of an imported image. Or at least it didn't work. Sad.
So I became really desperate and turned to something I know only brings destruction, pain and sadness: Illustrator. There I had a problem getting the brush tool to work, and after I found the problem, I still had problems with it. Fuck, I can't even explain what the hell that thing was doing.

I'm now pretty irritated and it's a bit of a dent in my pride, but if anyone has some good tutorials to make a clean (vector-y?) drawing over a hand-drawn sketch in either flash MX, Adobe Illustrator CS or Adobe Photoshop CS, it is very welcome. You can view the picture that I've been talking about in my art thread.
Thanks for any offered advice and uh, also for reading this rant.

In the meantime I drew a very sad picture of myself, which made me a little happier.
